Technical details
The Sony FX3 (Sony Cinema Line) offers a wide range of recording formats to suit professional post-production workflows. It can capture 10-bit 4:2:2 intra-frame footage internally, and when paired with an external recorder, it’s capable of recording ultra high-quality formats including 12-bit ProRes RAW HQ at up to 4.2K resolution.
High-quality audio is essential for interviews and talking-head content. I use a Sennheiser MKH 416 shotgun microphone alongside Sony professional wireless lavalier systems to ensure clean, clear, and reliable sound in any environment.
Lighting plays an equally important role in achieving a polished, professional look. I use Aputure 300x and Aputure 60x fixtures, which provide accurate colour reproduction and soft, diffused light. This helps create natural-looking skin tones and flattering shadows, ensuring subjects look their best on camera.
