We offer two property photography techniques depending the the requirements of the homeowner or agent. Our standard HDR Photography is the fastest and most cost effective solution and our Flambient Photography produces more accurate colours and sharper results. Read on to find out a little more about each option or just skip to the examples below.
HDR Photography
Our Standard HDR (High Dynamic Range) Photography uses just the ambient light in the room. The photographer will set the camera on a tripod and take multiple long exposure photographs capturing details from the darkest and brightest areas in the shot. The multiple exposures are later combined in photoshop to create a high dynamic range image.
Flambient Photography
Flambient photography (Flash + Ambient) is a technique whereby the photographer will set the camera on a tripod and capture both flash and ambient photographs of the same angle. The two images are then combined in photoshop using a hand brushing technique to combine the accurate colours and details from the flash images with the natural shadows and exposure levels of the ambient images.
Due to the additional shooting and processing requirements flambient photography takes a little longer than standard photography however the end results can really make a property stand out on listing sites.
Below are some examples showing how the flambient photography technique used in our premium service provided improved images over standard ambient light photography. Take note of the exposure in the windows and the colour of the furniture and fittings compared to the standard HDR images.
