Drone roof inspection can offer a huge cost saving against traditional methods of roof inspection. A prime example of this is a project we recently worked on in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. We worked with a specialist engineering survey company providing a drone roof inspection of a sprawling industrial site close to Kings Lynn’s docks.
Using two of our drones we were able to capture high resolution images of multiple buildings as well as storage silo’s and interior high level structures. We used our high resolution Inspire 2 camera to cover each individual roof capturing detailed images of all surfaces and any signs of damage or plant growth.
Once the exterior roof surfaces were covered we moved to a smaller drone which we used to fly inside the buildings capturing images of roof spaces and other areas that were not visible from the ground.
Using the drones we were able to cover the entire industrial complex in a single day saving the engineering survey specialist tens of thousands in heavy plant hire and multiple days doing these inspections in person.
